LVE hydroponically grown Petula tomatoes are sweeter and tastier than many of the varieties of tomatoes found in supermarkets, because they are ripened on the vine and picked fresh.

The Petula tomatoes grown by LVE also tend to have a more intense red colour when ripe and therefore higher lycopene content than some of the field grown or imported varieties.
